The World is Yours: Art & Advocacy for Black Maternal Health
The World Is Yours: Art & Advocacy for Black Maternal Health
For Art's Sake, the City of Cleveland and Cleveland City Council proudly announce the unveiling of The World is Yours Basketball Court, launching Black Maternal Health Week at Otter Park.
The World is Yours is curated by artist extrodinare Glen Infante – alongside Stina Aleah, Chad Fedorovich, & Jordan Morales. The court’s design serves as a powerful visual statement, blending art and activism to honor the role of Black mothers while inspiring the next generation. Through this installation, attendees will engage in themes of legacy, perseverance, and identity, while celebrating the impact of maternal strength within the community.
Curated by For Art’s Sake, led by branding and design visionary Kumar Arora, a Transformative Arts Fund Awardee, this vibrant court is more than a place to play—it’s a tribute to Black mothers, their strength, resilience, and the future they nurture. This initiative transforms public space into a lasting symbol of empowerment, community, and opportunity.
The Work Goes Beyond the Mural.
While The World is Yours is creating advocacy through art, we’re setting up the stage for Beautiful Birthing Communities, All Our Babies CLE, and other partners.
This project is also supported by Cleveland Cavaliers, Jerome Baker, Campus District, Cuyahoga Land Bank, FOX8, ABC5, ILTHY®, I’m From Cleveland, & Rid-All Green Partnership. Together, we’re coming together to create a moment through art. Want to help support? Please visit our contact form and send us a message.
